Peter qualified in 1987 and worked as an Accountant for Bishop Fleming and as a Tax Accountant for KPMG Peat Marwick before forming P. S. May & Co. in 1992.
Peter has a distinguished background in taxation and specialises in tax efficiency strategies including incorporations, Capital Gains Tax planning, Inheritance Tax planning and trusts. Peter’s industry experience includes the marine services sector, retail, management companies, nurseries and child care, leisure and tourism, building and construction services, domiciliary care and financial services.
Peter lives in Truro with his family and his hobbies are golf, rugby and football.
David joined P. S. May & Co. in April 2014 having recently completed his AAT qualification. He has further specialised his skills in taxation, following the completion of his ATT qualifications in 2016, and is hoping to further develop his skills, by studying for the ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) qualification, later in 2017.
David’s vast knowledge and desire of the accountancy profession has seen him swiftly rise to the position of Junior Partner within the firm.
His previous career working as a chef for over 10 years has given him a wealth of experience within the service sector, which contrasts with his degree in Mathematics from UCL.
David lives in Falmouth and has limited spare time after the birth of his first child and the expectancy of his second. He enjoys walking his dog and dancing in what spare time he firstname.lastname@example.org
Harry joined P. S. May & Co.. in December 2013, and has since completed his AAT qualification in early 2017.
Harry is now hoping to further develop his training, by studying for the ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) qualification, later in the 2017 year.
Harry’s keen enthusiasm and passion for P. S. May & Co. has seen him rise through the ranks, to the position of Senior Accountant.
Harry is a keen CrossFit enthusiast. Whilst he enjoys the occasional game of Football, he is also a keen musician, having played the piano for many email@example.com
Ken joined P. S. May & Co. in July 2016, as a trainee accountant. Shortly after, he completed his AAT qualification, and began to study for the ATT (Association of Taxation Technicians) qualification. He has now completed part of his ATT qualification and hopes to complete this in Spring 2017.
Prior to P. S. May & Co, Ken had been teaching A-Level Mathematics at Truro & Penwith College for 8 years. Ken started at Truro & Penwith College after graduating from Exeter University with a First Class Honours Degree in Mathematics, with two Dean’s Commendation awards for academic excellence.

Ross Joined P.S. May in June 2015 as a trainee accountant and is currently studying for his AAT qualification after obtaining excellent grades in his A Levels, including qualifications in accounting, mathematics and further mathematics.
Ross is a keen fitness enthusiast and has completed several cycling events, raising money and awareness for Leukaemia Research.email@example.com
Alex joined P.S. May in June 2015 after completion of his GCSE’s. He hopes to forge a career in accountancy and has begun to study for his AAT qualification.

Sharon joined P. S. May & Co. in February 2016 as an administrator and has worked in various secretarial roles in the past, as well as hairdressing and setting up her own business in domestic cleaning.
Originally from Leeds, she has lived in Cornwall for 26 years. In her spare time Sharon enjoys shopping, fashion and interior decoration.
James Shepherd is a Chartered Tax Adviser and Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants with over 10 years’ experience in accountancy and finance, more recently specialising in taxation of individuals, businesses and companies.
James’ sector experience includes solicitors and professional advisors, the oil and gas industry, recruitment and HR services, travel and tourism, manufacturing, marine services, catering, construction services as well as many other domestic and international businesses and industries. James also specialises in offshore taxation matters, having advised numerous cases involving individuals, businesses and companies.
